Luxury coworking space, Co-Optim, hosts Crain’s Small Business Week only event for Women-Owned Businesses.
Chicago, IL - Co-Optim, the luxury coworking space, and Women in Business Connect (WIBC) are supporting women-owned businesses during Crain’s 9th Annual Small Business Week, one of the largest education and business development events in the region, for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
During a panel discussion, #SupportWomenOwned: It’s Not Just a Hashtag, It’s a Responsibility, on Thursday, May 3rd from 4-6 pm, leaders of women-owned businesses will share their triumphs and struggles as they inspire other women to pursue their passions. The panel discussion will be hosted by Co-Optim at the West Loop Chicago site, located at 550 W. Washington Blvd.
With only 3 percent of women-owned firms generating more than $1 million a year in revenue, the panel hopes to impart lessons and strategies that will help more women to achieve the million-dollar mark. Attendees will benefit from hearing the following featured speakers: Chrishon Lampley, entrepreneur of Love Cork Screws, a certified Minority Business Enterprise, with wine and wine-related product offerings in over 50 locations including Mariano’s, Whole Foods, and most recently, Target; Patricia Jones, founder and managing principal of Connected Arrows; Amy M. Toepper, Esq, owner of Law Office of Amy M. Toepper;; and Jessica Mann, founder of Ari Rose, a consciously crafted body care company focused on holistic self-care.
Women in Business Connect has partnered with Co-Optim West Loop to create a hub of events for women-owned businesses including networking events, panels, and monthly mastermind lunches to expand the impact beyond Crain’s Small Business Week. Co-Optim West Loop has created a unique environment to host recurring events with organizations like Women in Business Connect coupled with a variety of new networking opportunities to help entrepreneurs meet potential clients, draw inspiration, and provide a platform for them to start and continue to expand their businesses.
“We’re excited to help bring a voice to more women-owned businesses and help women succeed by organizing the only all-women panel during Crain’s Small Business Week,” said Tiffany English, founder of Women in Business Connect.
